Kicking off our first Business Spotlight of the year with a true Bramley gem...Birtley House Nursing Home & Mews.
Nestled in beautiful grounds and proudly family-run since 1945, Birtley House has been part of our village for over 80 years. A place built on care, compassion, and community.

Business has been at Birtley House in Bramley since 1945 and we recently celebrated our 80th anniversary
- What does your business do?
Family run nursing home with independent living flats on site for the over 60’s. Older than the NHS we believe we could be the oldest family run nursing home in the UK
- What do your customers like most about your business?
- ‘It’s like a home from home’

- What would you like people to discover about your business?
- We are lucky enough to sit in 48 acres of Surrey Hills countryside, have won national awards for our gardens comprising of 12 features including a Kitchen Garden, Rose Garden, Secret Garden, Wildflower Meadow, Garden Orchard, Cider Apple Orchard, Long Walk, Lake, Feature Pond, Woodland, First-floor terrace, Tree lined avenue drive
- We have a floral painted plastic cow sculpture at the end of the drive, named ‘Liberty’ by one of our residents as it is an anagram for ‘Birtley’
- Our Estates team offers ‘trout fishing’ on our lake (booking in advance required)
