This month’s Business Spotlight features a hidden gem tucked away at Whipley Manor Farm

• What your name and what do you do when not running your business?
  Liz Pearman. I enjoy going for country walks, normally followed by a nice meal in a pub garden! Gardening and looking after my fur baby, a very vocal Tonkinese cat called Kiea.

• How long have you been in Bramley?
  I only discovered Bramley when visiting Whipley Manor Farm with a view to renting one of their barns to start my shop. I fell in love with the area immediately and have even looked into moving here!

• What does your business do?
  I sell unique and fairly priced gifts, children's items and plants. I have worked at Garden Centres on and off since I was 18 and have had many roles. My most previous was as Plant Area Manager in an independent Garden centre in Surrey.

• What do your customers like most about your business?
  They love the unusual items which I strive to find and the location in general is very fitting for my quirky taste in gifts!
  

• What would you like people to discover about your business? (Fun or silly fact!)
  EVERYTHING! When people initially come here they are always very impressed with the layout, building and uniqueness of the items. I now have many repeat customers but would love more people to discover a new independent shop that can bring a smile to your face and the people that receive the gifts.

• What’s the first job you ever had?
  File runner for a doctors surgery where I grew up in Molesey, Surrey. Literally getting personal files for the patients that were booked in on Saturdays, taking them to the appropriate doctor and returning files to there correct place.

• Best thing about Bramley?
  The people. Every time I have visited I have always felt a real sense of warmth from the shop staff and the general public.

• What three items would you take to a desert island (apart from your phone)?
  I would absolutely not take my phone - although I’d probably regret that eventually! I’d take some tools, a tarp, and some food. I’m taking this very seriously.

• If your business had a theme song, what would it be?
  Greatest day by Take That. Because every day is the greatest day here!

• Which famous person would you like to visit your business?
  Harry Hill. Just find him too funny!
