1980s classic play Educating Rita is coming to Bramley 7:30pm

Don’t miss an exciting opportunity to see Willy Russell’s bittersweet comedy STAFFORD Productions brings Willy Russell’s bittersweet comedy, Educating Rita, to Surrey.

The new theatre company, whose mission is to bring affordable highest quality drama to the county's towns and villages, will make it possible for audiences to enjoy a great night out with friends this September.

Its debut production, Educating Rita, will take audiences back to the 1980s, an unforgettable decade defined by its changing politics, economy, fashions, and music. The play explores the poignant, funny, and unlikely relationship between working-class Liverpool hairdresser Rita, and jaded university professor Frank. Both are looking for a way out from lives that, in different ways, inhibit them. Complete opposites, the pair clash frequently, at the same time fascinated by the fact that each has something the other doesn’t.

Through their relationship, and the transformative power of education, they begin a process of self-discovery that may eventually set them free. Stafford Productions brings this funny, memorable story to the heart of Surrey.
